Kimchi Fried Rice

I've been craving kimchi fried rice slnce my trip to Vegas. I saw it
at the Mandalay Bay and one other hotel restaurant for $15.99. I
finally had it at the Super H-mart in Niles (about 30 minutes from
Chicago). Du Re Bak in their food court sells it for $8.99. Yum! The
fried rice contains chopped kimchi and beef slices and is topped with
a very thin omelette. It comes with a soup, kimchi (can never have too
much kimchi if you're Korean). And a banchan (side dish) - think it
was fish cake this time. Want to have it right now for breakfast.

Cosi Crab Cake Melt

The crab cake melt at Cosi is delicious. It's made with Phillips
Seafood crab cakes, tomato, sharp cheddar cheese, and a vinaigrette. I
remember Phillips Seafood's annual parties at the Hyatt McCormick
Place on the Sunday of the National Restaurant Association Show. My
husband and I loved eating the crab cakes there. The company stopped
having these parties and switched to a smaller booth a few years ago
as the restaurant industry began to experience a slowdown.

Thai Lettuce Wrap

Had the Thai lettuce wrap last night at the Cheesecake Factory - yum.
It consisted of satay chicken strips, shredded carrots, marinated
cucumber, bean sprouts, and coconut curry noodles on a bed of lettuce
and red cabbage. Comes with three sauces - looks like a healthy dish
though I didn't check the calorie count. Would like to replicate it at
home. Found a recipe for it on Meemoskitchen.blogspot.com.

Strawberry Chicken Salad

Had the strawberry poppyseed chicken salad at Panera recently. Yum!
Hard to believe it's only 280 calories. Great if you like fruit with
strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, mandarin oranges, pecans,
romaine lettuce, and a poppyseed dressing. Also had their frozen
strawberry lemonade - 150 calories.
